A series of deadly terrorist attacks occurred in Sri Lanka on the day when Catholics celebrate Easter. There were at least 215 people killed and about 500 injured. There were eight explosions in luxury hotels for tourists: the Cinnamon Grand, the Shangri La, and the Kingsbury. Attacks also took place in the temples of the cities of Colombo, Negombo, and Batticaloa. The first six attacks occurred there; later, two more explosions took place in a suburb of Colombo. It’s already clear to the local police that there were suicide bombers involved. On suspicion of being involved in terrorist attacks, they’ve already detained 13 people.
