This video is all about aircraft wet lease and, aircraft dry lease. SriLankan Airlines the national airlines of Srilanka is exploring options to sub-lease an Airbus A330-200 that has been sitting idle at Colombo’s Bandaranaike International airport for over three months. The asian carrier states that the aircraft, was acquired in 2017 as a condition of a settlement with AerCap aircraft leasing company, over its cancellation of an agreement to lease four new aircrafts of A350-900s. AerCap is the world’s largest independent aircraft leasing company after acquiring International Lease Finance Corp. in 2014. The airline management is attempting to optimise the usage and return on investment on this aircraft, as with any other asset of the airline. It’s easy to lease an Airbus A350 aircraft. But leasing a Airbus A330-200 used aircraft is not easy.
